It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Mary Margaret Johnson (née Tate), 92, of Jacksonville, Florida, who left this world peacefully on November 18, 2024. Born in West Palm Beach, Florida, on October 11, 1932, Mary lived a life full of love, kindness, and devotion to her family and friends.
Mary was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Dorothy Elizabeth and Alonzo Maxwell Tate; her devoted husband, Dan C. Johnson; and her cherished son, Douglas Wayne Johnson. She is survived by her loving children, David Johnson, Kathryn Barnes (Buddy), Gail Dube (Robert), and Kelli Bailey (Mike Ederer); eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews, all of whom will carry her memory forward with love and gratitude.
A visitation for Mary will be held Tuesday, November 26, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL 32205. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at 2:00 PM, 7242 Normandy Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL 32205. A committal service will occur Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
