

Mary Lou Tharp Linville, 75, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away Saturday April 26,2025 after a battle with chronic illness. Mary was born on March 19, 1950 in Cheyenne, Wyoming to Albert Tharp and Alice Clark Tharp. Following graduation from Cheyenne East High School, Mary worked for Keane Inc. for decades where she had the opportunity to travel all over the world and assist with computer programming and installation. Mary also supported her late husband with his privately owned business, Linville Management Services. Succeeding retirement, Mary enjoyed witty conversations with loved ones in her den and cooking up southern comfort for each holiday the year brought. With her Native American background, she left this world without a single white hair in her naturally brunette locks.
Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Winfred Linville (2019). She is survived by her daughter, Melissa ‘Missy’ Linville and two grandchildren, Cheyenne Swift Roberts and Jacob Dyess Kern. Her loss is also mourned by her four living siblings: Alice, Delphia, Carlene, and Albert. She is predeceased by her parents and her brother, Roger Tharp.
Services will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2025 at 12:00pm. Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home, located at 7242 Normandy Blvd. Public visitation will begin at 11:00am. She will be laid to rest alongside her Marine veteran husband at Jacksonville National Cemetery at 1:30pm on Thursday after the funeral service.
