

Mary Deloris McClain, 68, passed away Saturday, August 31, 2013 in Jacksonville, FL surrounded by her family and friends after a courageous battle with ALS. She was born May 6, 1945 to Mose and Mary Glisson in Brunswick, GA. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Walter “Buddy” McClain, son Michael McClain (Tonya Bailey), daughter Angela (Matthew) Mullane, granddaughter Leslie (Brian) Boswell as well as several nieces and nephews. Deloris is predeceased by her parents, Mose Glisson and Mary Lou Clemons, brother Wayne Glisson and sister Brenda Kersey. As an avid gardener, Deloris could always be found working in her yard that was always full of beautiful blooms. Her love for flowers began early on when she made people smile by her beautiful flower arrangements that she created at her own flower shop named “Flowers by Mary Dee”. Deloris was loved by all and always had a big smile to share with everyone. Arrangements under the care of Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205. Family will receive friends and family on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 from 6:00-8:00p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at 11:00a.m. Interment to follow at Riverside Memorial Park.
