Born in Jacksonville, Florida, Mary spent most of her adult life as a resident of Oxford, Florida. She was preceded in death by her father, George Sweat, and mother, Sarah Wiggins Sweat.
She is survived by her brothers Frank (Diane) Sweat, Erie, Pennsylvania; and Joe (Eleanor) Sweat, Jacksonville, Florida; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Mary enjoyed doing crafts and thrift shopping, and spending time with her relatives and friends in the Oxford area. Mary was known for her helping nature, including providing rides to doctor appointments, picking up medications, and shopping trips.
A Committal Service will be held at Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205, US, on September 26, 2026, at 11:00 am.
