Michael Teel Sr.

Michael A. Teel, 62, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away June 23, 2017. He was born on October 14, 1954 in Morehead City, North Carolina to parents Samuel and Peggy Teel. He served in the United States Army. Over the years he worked in several occupations. However, he found his passion when he opened his own trucking firm, Teel Trucking. He was well known as a dependable and dedicated hauler. Mike was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son and uncle to many, many nieces and nephews. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, and spending time with his family. He was an avid Alabama football fan.

Mr. Teel is preceded in death by his mother and father and grandparents. Survivors include his wife of more than 40 years, Marian Teel; son, Michael Teel; daughter, Misty Dexter (Eric); brother, Samuel “Gerald” Teel (Suzy); sister, Angela Schrader (Kevin); stepbrother, Buck Fry; stepmother, Sara Teel; six grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Visitation will be held from 11:00am to 12:00pm on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at 12:00pm at Riverside Memorial Park.
