Milagros is preceded in death by her husband Augorio Mago, her parents Pilar Serrano and Pedro Serrano, her half-sister Excelsa Rafer, and her brother Peter Serrano.
She is survived by her sister Irene, her 5 children (& their spouses): Julia, Antonio & Leah (former spouse Zenaida), Josephine, Janette & Sabas, and Imelda & Joe; her 8 grandchildren (& their spouses): Zharis & Roland, Jopher & Alene, John Marlou & Charisse, Melanie & Jimmy, Sarah, Kimberly, Eugene, and Antonio Ezequiel; her 6 great-grandchildren: Zharayiah, Giselle, Juliana, Sebastian, Naomi, and Jaiden; her great-great granddaughter Elsy; and many loving extended family members, and friends who became family over the years.
"Grandma Mila" (as many called her) immigrated to the United States in 1989. She became a US citizen in 1994. A relic of a time gone by, she lived a simple life. She never worked a "normal" job, never drove a car, was always cooking, sewing, gardening, or watching her grandkids and "extended" family. She always found ways to show her love through her many gifts and talents. In her latter years, she spent the majority of her time sitting by the window with her dog Lucky, reading and praying for her loved ones. Milagros made a beautifully blessed life possible for so many, and we are all forever grateful.
