Mildred Fay Perry

Mildred Fay Perry, 84, of Jacksonville, FL passed away August 30, 2021 in the Macclenny Nursing & Rehab Center. She was born in Edneyville, NC on September 28, 1936. Mildred graduated from Edneyville High School. She married Richard F. Perry on January 13, 1956.

Mildred worked in accounting for Speed World and Orkin Pest Control. She was a member of Blanding Boulevard Baptist Church for 45 years and was a Sunday School Teacher for 40 years. She loved sewing, gardening, cooking and spending time with her family. She was a loving wife, mother and Mawmaw. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years Richard Perry, her parents Ernest and Orma Lyda, sisters Marie Davis and Beth Lyda and brother Don Lyda.

She is survived by children Lynette Mattison (Terry) and Brent Perry (Charlotte); grandchildren Timmy Mattison (Cassandra), Megan Pearce (Matt), Alaina Mattison (Ryan); great-grandchildren Paitlynn Pearce, Elise Mattison, Preslie Pearce, Caroline Mattison and sister Joyce Lyda.

A visitation for Mildred will be held Monday, September 13, 2021 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. Following the visitation will be a graveside service from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4803 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218.
