Mildred "Mickey" Frances Wickham

Mildred Frances Wickham, also known as Mickey, age 87, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2023. She was born on March 5, 1937 in Bellingham, Washington and was the beloved daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Metzger.

Mickey will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her warm spirit, kind heart, and artistic talent will forever be remembered and cherished. May her soul find eternal peace.

Mickey was a remarkable woman who had a passion for quilting and a deep love for dogs, particularly Bullmastiffs. She spent countless hours creating beautiful quilts, each one telling a unique story. Her talent and dedication to her crafts were truly admirable.

Mickey is preceded in death by her husband James G. Wickham, and her grandson James R. Wickham. She is survived by her daughter Lynda (Bob), Mark (Susan), and Rodney (Vicki); seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to two organizations that were close to Mickey's heart, The American Bullmastiff Rescue (ABARS) or Paws Rescue of Corpus Christi, TX, or an animal rescue in the area of choice. Donations to these charitable organizations will help continue Mickey's legacy of compassion and love for animals.

A receiving of family and friends for Mickey will be held Saturday, September 23, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Following the receiving of family and friends will be a memorial service at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
