Myrtis S. Daniel passed peacefully on September 24, 2023, in Jacksonville, FL. She was 91 years old. She is preceded in death by her husband Ollis A. (Dan) Daniel of Memphis, TN, her parents Mattie & Clayborn Smith of Pontotoc County, MS. She is survived by her sister Sue Wooldridge (Kent), Nephew Donald C. Wooldridge (Joanne), Don and Joanne's children, Vanessa and Luke Wooldridge of Jacksonville, FL.
She will be placed to rest beside her husband in the Pine Grove Cemetery in Holly Springs, MS. Myrtis was a member of Lake Shore Baptist Church in Jacksonville, FL. She retired from Southern Bell Telephone Company in Memphis, TN and she enjoyed life. She loved gospel music and her favorite song was "He Lives". She was a blessing to all who knew her.

A memorial service for Myrtis will be held Monday, October 9, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
