Neil McCafferty

Cornelius "Neil" Patrick McCafferty died February 5, 2016, in Jacksonville, FL. He was born March 29, 1934, in Philadelphia, PA, where he attended North Catholic High School. Following high school, Neil worked briefly for the FBI before enlisting in the Navy, specializing as a Communications Technician.

After his four-year commitment, he began his engineering career with Philadelphia Electric and went on to become Chief Electrical Project Manager for large scale power plant construction projects. After several relocations, he and his wife finally settled In Jacksonville, where they retired.

He is survived by his wife, Jeannie, of 58 years; his six children, Neil (Sonya), Suzanne (Randy), Kevin (Alison) , Trish, Karen (Nick) and Lindsay (Aaron); and thirteen grandchildren, Patrick, Sean, Kelly Anne, Matthew, Joshua, Charlotte, Zachary, Kiersten, Katie, Kara, Rowan, Brooke and Brynn.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 11th at 12 noon at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 11665 Ft. Caroline Rd., at 12:00 pm, followed by a 2:00pm burial at the Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Rd.
