When she was young, Nelda loved fishing and taking her three children to the beach. She was the co owner of Golden Grain Bakery, a wholesale bakery supplying fresh bread to restaurants throughout Jacksonville and southern Georgia, which she operated with her spouse, Carl Wright, who survives her.
Nelda is also survived by her children, Frederick Wright, Robert Wright, and Susan Lokietek, married to Simon Lokietek; and her grandchildren, Owen Wright and Ethan Lokietek, and a great granddaughter, Wrenley Wright. She had a lifelong love for dogs, and at the time of her passing, she had a 2-year-old chocolate labrador named Max.
A Graveside Service will be held at Chapel Hills Memory Gardens, 850 St Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, FL 32225, US, on June 26, 2026, starting at 10:00 am.
