

She was born in Jacksonville,Florida, to William F. and Suzette Barry. She grew up in Jacksonville, FL with her eight brothers and sisters. Nicole is survived by her loving daughter, Rebecca Suggs, two beautiful Grandchildren Lillian and Hayden Barrow who lovingly called her Mémé, which is French for Grandmother, and last but not least, her devoted dog, Chewy!
Nicole is also survived by her sisters, Christine Barry (Margaret) of Oviedo, FL, Annette Tilley (Henry) of Jacksonville FL, Monique Fry (David) of Ft. Myers, FL, Marie Boyd (Rob) of Jacksonville, FL, and brothers, Pete Barry (Michelle) of Lawrenceville, GA, John Barry of Jacksonville, FL and preceded in death by her parents William F. and Suzette Barry, brothers Michael Barry, Jacksonville, FL (Sue) and Patrick Barry (Marilyn) of Chattanooga, TN.
Nicole is also survived by 15 nieces and nephews, and 14 great nieces and nephews.
A graduate of Bishop Kenny High School, she worked for Bellsouth Telecommunications for 19 years and JEA until her retirement in 2010.
Nicole was a vibrant spirit who brought joy and laughter into our lives and a smile that brighten the room. She had a passion for classic cinema, particularly the timeless black-and-white films featured on TCM. From the unforgettable performances of Gary Cooper in High Noon to the good looks of Clint Eastwood's spaghetti westerns, she had an undeniable love for these cinematic treasures. She was an avid reader and spent countless hours at the local library and Chamberlin’s Book Store. Her enthusiasm for reading was particularly evident in her admiration for author James Patterson, whose thrilling stories captivated her.
Nicole will be deeply missed by all who knew her as they cherish the memories of her kindness, generosity, and unyielding love for her family.
A memorial service on 11/25/2024 at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, where the family will receive friends at 1:30pm with a Rosary at 2:00pm.
