Norman C. Mossman, age 91, passed away Monday, November 30, 2015, in Melbourne. Norman was born February 3, 1924 in Jacksonville. After graduating from Andrew Jackson High School he enlisted in the United States Navy and was trained as an aviation mechanic. At the end of World War II he continued his work as a civilian at Jacksonville Naval Air Station. In 1956 Norman moved his family to Canova Beach and continued his work at Patrick Air Force Base until his retirement. He loved his family very much, was active in the community and in local churches. He was a member of South Patrick Baptist Church in Satellite Beach. Norman was predeceased by his wife Iris Gaskin Mossman, his parents Charles C. and Mabel (Hurst) Mossman and his brother Carman C. Mossman. Survivors include his son, Rick Mossman (Patsy) and daughter; Dianne Holdsworth (John, Sr); grandchildren, Windy Davis, Jennifer Horne, Ashley Woodard (Todd), Mandy Rose (Brian), Courtney Sandoval (Jose), John Holdsworth Jr., (Laura), James Holdsworth, Jennifer Boyd (Tim); 14 great-grandchildren; nephew, Chuck Mossman (Debbie); nieces, Anne Roden (Jerry); Shirley Hacker (Vic). The funeral service will be at 3:00pm, Sunday, December 6th at Hardage-Giddens Town and Country Funeral Home in Jacksonville, Florida.
