

Orphy was born at home in Java, South Dakota, to Israel and Anna Maria Krause on August 21, 1917. He grew up in Java and went to business college in Bismark, North Dakota. He married Dorothy Bonen in June 1939. He was a resident of Jacksonville Florida for more than 45 years.
Orphy retired from the United State Department of Agriculture after 30 years. He was an Administrative Supervisor in the Disease Eradication Program. His assignments included such places as Bismark, North Dakota; Helena, Montana; Jefferson City, Missouri; Sebring, Florida; Washington, D.C. and Jacksonville, FL.
Survivors include sons Robbin F. (Barbara) Krause of Bellevue, Washington, and Timothy J. (Josette) Krause of Palm Coast, Florida; daughters, Jacqueline (Donald) Seaborn of Phoenix, Maryland and Juliette Dawn (Alan) Krause-Jordan of Jacksonville, Florida.
Grandchildren include: Donald, David, Rachel, Selene, Shane, Michael, Amy, Scott, and Kristen. Luke Alan Jordan and Faith Juliette Jordan.
Great Grandchildren include: Grace, Jackson, Jess, Sadie, Carter, Lauren, Camden, Marley, Adelyne, Callie and Trey.
A visitation will be held from 6-8pm, Friday, January 14, 2011 at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 St. Johns Bluff Rd. N. www.hardage-giddenschapelhills.com. Funeral Services will be held at 12pm, Saturday, January 15, 2011 at Grace Lutheran Church, 12200 McCormick Rd, Jacksonville, FL.
