passed away. She is preceded in death by her mother, Pallie May McManus, and her father, William T. McManus.
Patti, as her friends called her, was a graduate of FSU and devoted her life to educating children. She began her teaching career at Thomas Jefferson Elementary and retired 40 years later from her home school. During this time, Patti continued her own education and earned a Master’s Degree in Reading. She was the PRT, Primary Resource Teacher, an acting principal, a Patrol sponsor, Grade Level Chair person, and she volunteered for many committees during her career. Patti would proudly boast, and righteously so, that she taught every grade from kindergarten to fifth grade while at Thomas Jefferson. Patti enjoyed her thirteen years of retirement by traveling the country, visiting with friends, and playing Bingo on Tuesday nights. Dear Patti will never know the void she has left in the lives of so many.
A celebration of life for Patti will be held Saturday, February 24, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL 32205. Following the memorial service will be a committal service at 11:00 AM at Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
