Pamela "Bunny" Jane Nicks
October 12, 1955 – February 11, 2021
Bunny Nicks was born in Kittery, Maine. She was raised in Amesbury, Massachusetts. Due to her father being in the Navy, she lived throughout east coast. She graduated from Escambia High School in 1974. After graduation, her family was stationed in Jacksonville, Florida. She spent several years working at the Orange Park Dog Track until she met her husband, Howard Ray Nicks Sr. Once, married she became a full time stay at home mom to two children, Ashley and Ray Nicks. She was also the President of River City Motorcycle Escorts. Bunny stayed busy by tending to her children’s every need. She never missed a game, a concert, JROTC Competition, or get together. She enjoyed interior decorating. People knew her house as the “Cracker Barrel House.” You could always hear The Temptations playing from her radio. If she was not home, you were most likely to find her on the beach with her niece Jennifer Lawton. She lived for summers at the beach. But what she really loved were her Cocker Spaniels. No one could ever get between the love for her dogs. Her love for all animals was beyond this world. She was a lover of all things. If ever there were an animal or person in need, Bunny was your person to call.
Bunny Nicks was proceeded in death by her father Gordon Donald Johns Sr., her mother Kathleen Alma Hecht, her brother Robert Allen Hecht, and her 5 Cocker Spaniels, Baliegh, Elle Mae, Harley, Little Bear, and Annie. Bunny and I were high school friends and graduated together in 1974. We reconnected in 1999 and I will never forget her. She was funny, kind and loved her family and friends. Rest well my forever friend. In my heart and never forgotten!

Bunny was a funny friend and “boss” as I was a small part of River City Motorcycle Escorts. We have remained in touch throughout the years on Facebook where she was an active writer. She had many fun comments over the years. It is a joy to have known her. My prayers are with the family and the RCME family. She was loved by many and will be deeply missed.
