Born in Hempstead, Long Island, New York, and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, she graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1953. Beginning as an oil painter studying under J. Courtenay Hunt, she pursued art in various forms throughout her life, and owned her own art glass business, closing Ye Ole Glass Shoppe in 2003. She was a life member of the St. Augustine Art Association, traveled as a member of Sister Cities International, and participated with the North Florida Association of Women’s Business Owners.
She is survived by her husband, Elwin Osentowski; their children, John Sheffield, Kelley Burroughs, Joseph Osentowski, Timothy Osentowski, and Dennis Osentowski.
Visitation will be held at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205, on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A funeral service will take place at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205, on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32218.
