Peggy Frey Talbert

She was predeceased by her parents John E. Brooker Sr. and Mary Clemmie Lou O'Quinn. Also, by her brother Jack, sisters Myrtle, Frances, Margaret, her husbands Gary Frey, KC Talbert and her grandson Kevin D. Frey.

She attended Woodlawn High School in Birmingham, Alabama. She and her family moved to Jacksonville, Florida in 1959 where she worked as a bookkeeper for several companies. Peggy owned and operated KC'S Bar B Q for 33 years, sold the restaurant and retired at age 72.

Peggy loved spending time with her family playing games and working on puzzles.

Peggy is survived by her children: Dan (Darlene), Lynda (Greg), Debbie (Cary) and Don (Sue). She has 11 grandchildren: DJ, Matt, Steve, Lisa, Kimberly, Alyson, Stacey, Cary Jr, Michael, Derrick and Ryan and 15 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

The family would like to acknowledge all those at Life Care at Wells Crossing who loved and cared for our sweet mother.

A memorial service will be held on February 26, 2022, at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 7673 Collins Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32244. Visitation will be at 10:00 am and service to follow at 11:00 am.
