Ray, also know as J.R., sadly passed away on June 27, 2021 in his home of Middleburg, FL. He was only 59 years old.
His friends would call him J.R. or Pops, as his family would say. He was the first in his family to graduate from Paxon High School. He was a loving father and grandfather, and a huge dog lover. He was a dedicated employee to Weldon Parts for 21 years. He took great pleasure in being the manger for their Jacksonville branch where he was able to help everyone in the Heavy Duty market.
He is predeceased by three sisters - Rita, Joyce “Tiny” and Donna. His father, Ray Cooke, and his stepfather Jerry.
J.R. is survived by his wonderful mother Jenetta, three sisters and one brother. Along with many nieces and nephews. As well as his only son Waylon and daughter in law Tina, and four amazing grandchildren Thomas, Taylor, Tara and Tia.
A Visitation will be held on Satuday, July 17th at 9am at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home. 7242 Normandy Boulevard, Jacksonville, Florida 32205. Funeral Services will follow at 10am with burial at 11am at Riverside Memorial Park.
