Raymond Tomaino Sr.

Ray was born on December 21, 1931 to Ellen Loeser Tomaino and Peter Tomaino Sr. in Eatontown, NJ.

Ray proudly served in the US AirForce from December 29, 1950 until October 23,1953 as a Turret System Mechanic and then entered the Reserve of the Air Force from October 23, 1953 through October 27, 1958. He went on to serve as a volunteer firefighter in the 50’s until the 80’s in Eatontown, NJ. In 1971 he received the honor of being Fire Chief. 1956 to 1986 Ray went to work for the US Postal Service as a Supervisor. Ray enjoyed being on the Fireman’s Bowling League, had a passion for painting and will always be remembered for entertaining his family with all of his jokes and sayings.

In 1950, Ray met Gloria at a skating rink in Red Bank, NJ. December 30,1951 he married the love and light of his life, Gloria Ann. They have three children, Raymond Tomaino Jr.(Donna), Gary Tomaino Sr. (Betty) and LynnMarie Tomaino.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Peter Tomaino Sr. and Ellen Tomaino, his brothers, Stephen, Russell, Ralph, John and Peter and sister Marie Tomaino Wolfe. Ray is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Gloria, sisters - Hilda Tomaino Williams and Christina Tomaino Adams. Grandchildren - Stephanie Kight, Trysha DeJesus, Gary Tomaino Jr., Raymond Tomaino III, Stacy Wiltison, Rachel Zingaro and Michael Tomaino. Great-grandchildren Joshua, Danyelle, Trey, Jacob, Joey, Kendall, Makayla, Stevie, Sydney and Walker. Great Great Grandchildren - Gracie, Cooper and Hadilyn.
