Rick was born in Birmingham, Alabama on July 26, 1956. Rick was the son of Richard and Juanita Marshman.
Rick was a husband, father, grandfather, uncle, son, brother, and friend. His family was the most important thing to Rick and he greatly cherished them.
He was also a fencer, an archer, a marksman, and a kindergarten classroom artist. He read more books than we could count and always made us laugh. Foremost, he was a good man. He will be missed dearly.
Rick is preceded in death by his father Richard and his mother, Juanita. He is survived by his wife, Kathy; his son, Ross, and his wife, Kate; and his two precious grandchildren, Claire and April; and his beloved siblings, sisters, Marian and Nancy, and his brother, Mark.

A Funeral Service will be held at Westside Baptist Church, 7775 Herlong Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32210, US, on October 29, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a Committal Service at Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205, US, on October 29, 2026, from 11:00 am to 11:30 am.
