Celebration of Life Robert Chaddock November 26, 1947 – September 7, 2020
The sun shone a little brighter on September 7, 2020 as Robert Chaddock, 72, was called home by the Lord. Robert was born on November 26, 1947 in Fairmont, West Virginia. He was blessed with two sets of loving parents Walter Chaddock (June) and Libby Little (Roy).
Robert graduated from Englewood High School in 1966. He was a Reserve Officer in the United States Marine Corp. Robert was a member of Freedom Christian Fellowship, formerly known as Mandarin Assembly of God. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, playing tennis, shooting pool, and hosting youth events at his home.
Over the years, Robert wore many hats. He bartended at the Beer Stube, was in the pest control business for 50 years as owner and operator at Action Exterminators with Joe and Chip Hughes and Reaction Turf Management with his son Shane, and was the owner of the Lobster Roll Café with friend Rick MacDonald. Robert enjoyed attending pest control conventions with his wife Pam and their friends Joe and Linda Hughes. In his later years, his most rewarding endeavor was pampering his Pam. Robert exemplified love in action. He will be remembered for his love of the Lord, service to others, his unfailing work ethic, his infectious smile, animated story telling, and his powerful testimony.
His memory will be cherished and kept alive by his loving wife Pam (nee Robbins); children Shane Chaddock (Megan) and Dasha Casey (Steve); grandchildren Paytin Chaddock, Kyle Casey, Addison Chaddock, and Mabry Chaddock; sister Kathy Owens; and a host of nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 12 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home and Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Sunday, September 13 at the same location. A graveside service will immediately follow. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Robert and I have known each other for probably over twenty years . I met him while he was working on one of my customers and our relationship grew from there. My dad was a teacher at Englewood High when Robert was a student and when I happened to mention his name my dad immediately remembered him. Quite a personality! What started as a working acquaintance grew into a friendship. He will be greatly missed.
Praying for Shane, Pam and all the family for God’s peace and comfort during this time.

If I were to describe my friend Robert the first thought that would come to mind is that Robert was genuine and kind in spirit. As classmates, I can't recall a day when I didn't see him smiling. I was new to our high school and from the beginning, Robert treated me as though we had been friends for years. At that age, in high school, kids often adopt a certain persona hoping to impress their classmates and friends, but Robert didn't need to do that. He was who he was and there was no mistaking that Robert was joyful, considerate, caring, and funny. A rare soul who seemed to walk in sunlight no matter how cloudy the day. He was genuine. He was kind and I will miss him terribly though I have not seen him, aside from our friendship on Facebook, since graduation day 1966. Somehow, it seemed he would be with us forever. Robert has left a legacy of love, strength, and commitment to his family they can cherish throughout their lives, and that is Robert's gift and God's blessing. Dear Chaddock family, as we continue to pray for sweet Pam and for you all, may the quiet peace of the Holy Spirit fill your hearts and may perpetual light shine upon Robert.

Met Chad in our senior year at Englewood. Partied a lot during the weekends all those dance parties at Riverside, Southside, and the Beaches. We parted our ways after graduation but two years later we connected again. We were brothers friends that if one called the other would help with no problem. Will miss my brother/friend. Be in peace

From the 1st time we met him, Robert was bigger than life. There are too many wonderful memories of him and of him and Pam.
They came to dinner many times. They had us over for dinner; or swimming.
What stands out the most is his great big heart.
He had some understanding of our situation and was always willing to help.
He was an amazing man.
