Robert Leroy Dover

Dover, Robert Leroy, age 70, passed away on Monday, December 9, 2013. He was born in McRae, Telfair County, Georgia to Robert Lee and Bertha Dover on July 27, 1943. The family moved to Jacksonville in 1955. He was predeceased by his father, Robert; his siblings: Shirley, Peggy, Cleo and Gary; and his wife of 40 years, Myra. He is survived by: his mother, Bertha; his daughters, Melissa (John) Alford and Stephanie (Darrin) Boswell; 3 grandsons, Nicholas Dover, Christopher Ridgway and Connor Alford; his siblings: Lena (Neal) Bronson, Richard (Mary) Dover, Donnie Dover and Evelyn Hyde and numerous nieces and nephews and other family that will miss him greatly. Family was everything to him. He greatly enjoyed his grandsons and he was a father figure to many. He taught, and showed by his actions, to his daughters what a good and loving man was. He was loyal, kept his word, loved to laugh and poke fun at others and himself. His smile will never be forgotten. His legacy lives on in his family.
