He joined the U.S. Navy at age 18 and retired 30 years later as a Chief Warrant Officer. Following his retirement he helped establish DARSCO plumbing company. Mr. Forster was an active member of Lakeshore United Methodist Church for over 50 years. He was a former member of the Jacksonville Concert Chorale and a volunteer at the food bank.
Preceding him in death was his wife of 70 yrs Iries. He is survived by his sister Shirley De Vries, son, Robert Eugene Jr. (Tracy). daughters Judith Ann Crenshaw (Terry), Mary Katherine Weeks (Ross), 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial Service, with Military Honors, will be held 3:00 Sunday, August 29th at Lakeshore United Methodist Church, 2246 Blanding Blvd, Jacksonville, Fl 32210
