Robert D. Starling 69, of Jacksonville passed away on August 30, 2013. Robert was preceded by his parents Nettie and Fleam Starling, brother, James Starling, and sister, Lucielle Cauley. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 35 years, Joni Starling, sons, Robert Starling, Jr. (Rita) and Joe Starling, four brothers, Frank Starling (Alice), Mark Starling, Timmy Starling (Toni) and Tommy Starling (Bernice),sister, Martha Lee (Calvin) and one grandchild, Kai Starling, numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Robert was a member of the East 11th Street Baptist Church of Jacksonville. He retired from Eastern Wire Company. Robert enjoyed outside hobbies including; fishing, and hunting. Robert also enjoyed bowling and watching TV. Robert will be remembered for his love of family, kind heart, and determining spirit. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hardage-Giddens Town and Country Funeral Home.
