Robert C Stites

Robert C. Stites, 72 of Jacksonville passed away on June 8, 2012 surrounded by loved ones. Robert is preceded by his parents, Erma and William Stites. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 54 years Karen Jose Stites, children; Laura Spruell (Mark), Bonnie Dunn (Walt), Tim Stites, Brian Stites and Manuela Stites, grandchildren; Sam (Kimberly), Carl, Logan, Shannon, Mark Jr., Dillon, Dalton, and Katie, great-grandchildren; Hayden, Kinley, and McKenzie, brothers; Richard Stites (Barbara) and Bill Kinney (Ann). Robert retired from the United States Navy and Florida Steel. He was a member of the American Legion Chapter 137, VFW Post 7909, Fleet Reserve 91, and the North Florida Bluegrass Association. Robert will be remembered for his loving spirit as a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Hardage-Giddens Town and Country Funeral Home located at 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, Fl. 32205. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 11, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 pm. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at Riverside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Northeast Florida Community Hospice.
