

Roger Harris Wells, 85, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2026, in Jacksonville, Florida. He was born on October 2, 1940, in Auburndale, Florida, where he was raised and later graduated from Auburndale High School.
Roger proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. During his service, he was awarded the Rifle Marksmanship Badge and the Good Conduct Medal in recognition of his dedication and commitment.
Following his military service, Roger built a successful career as an electrician before founding Wells Electrical Contracting. He took great pride in his work and earned a reputation for honesty, craftsmanship, and reliability.
Roger was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 41 years, Linda D. Wells.
He is survived by his brother, Eddie Wells of Lakeland, Florida; his daughters, Meghan Chislett of Jacksonville, Florida, and Heather Shaw of Statesville, North Carolina; and his four cherished grandchildren, Emerie Chislett, Olivia Chislett, Quinn Shaw, and Anson Shaw.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at Jacksonville National Cemetery on Friday, August 7, 2026, at 11:30 a.m.
Roger will be remembered for his service to his country, his strong work ethic, and the love he had for his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
