Ronald Poudrier, 71, died October 23,2013 in Jacksonville, Florida. Ron was born in North Hampton, MA. on Sept 5, 1942 to Louis and Irene Poudrier. After graduating High School he entered the US Air Force in Dec.1960 and later retired after of 20 years of service. He was an Aircraft Weapons Specialist serving in Japan, Korea, Portland, Or., Bitbury AFB and Ramsteen AFB Germany, Thailand, Eglin AFB Florida, and Mather AFB CA where he retired. After his time in the Air Force he obtained an Associate’s Degree in Electronics from Sacramento City College. He was a member of the American Legion. Ron loved God and studying the bible and a member of Christ's Church Mandarin. Ron is survived by his wife of 48 years, Lorann. He had two children, Deanna (Steve) Williams and Scott (Addie) Poudrier. He had 5 Grandchildren, Joy (Jack) Nation, Gabriele (Nick) Jones, Aaron and Michael Williams and Chloe Poudrier. He leaves behind 2 brothers, Robert (Sue) Poudrier and David (Joyce) Poudrier and several nieces and nephews. A special thanks to the Dr’s and staff members of Cancer Center of North Florida and Community Hospice of Northeast for their outstanding care. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hardage-Giddens Town and Country Funeral Home located at 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville. FL 32205. A memorial service will be held November 15, 2013, at Christ's Church Mandarin, 6045 Greenland Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32258 at 10:30 am; followed by an inurnment burial services, at 1:30 pm, November 15, 2013 at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218.
