Rosalie Ponds

Rosalie was a dedicated matriarch and nurse who loved to dance and listen to Michael Jackson, Gospel and oldies music. She enjoyed traveling to museums, gardening and watching college football! She was a beautiful and caring soul who made friends wherever she went, even towards the end of her journey, as she endured the painful effects of her illness. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. The love she gave rise to will forever remain in the hearts of all she touched. We will forever cherish our wonderful memories of her . . . until we meet again.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories and to celebrate her wonderful life, her loving mother, Rosa Grant of New York; wonderful children, Leslie Grant of Pennsylvania, Benny & Leah Lewis, Denise & Michael Jeffery, Flora Jones, Deborah Powe, Katrina Walker, all of Jacksonville, Florida, Antwaune & Amakeda Ponds, of St. Augustine, Florida; grandchildren, Shavon Grant (deceased), Stephanie Grant of Pennsylvania, Donita Crowder of Georgia, Nicole Kierce, Tony Lewis, Benny Lewis, Jr., Devin Powe, Shayla Davis, Norrelle Walker, Brandon Jeffery, Amya Jeffery, Jazmyne Ponds, LaShawn Powe-Wilson, all of Jacksonville, Florida, Akilah Ponds, Amir Ponds, Hasan Defense, all of St. Augustine, Florida; 21 great grandchildren, and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
