Rosanna Lewis Gerard, 67, of Jacksonville, FL, formerly of Harlan County, passed away Friday, June 20, 2025, at the Harlan App. Reg. Hospital. Born on July 16, 1957, in Harlan County, to the late Ray Lewis and Irene Howard Lewis. At the age of nine her family moved to Jacksonville, FL. She worked as a teacher’s assistant for the Land Mark Middle School, in Jacksonville, FL. She was also a member of the South Jacksonville Church of Christ, when she was in Harlan; she attended the Partridge Church of Christ. Rosanna was a God-fearing woman and loved her family with all of her heart.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Gerard of Jacksonville, FL; one son, Jason Gerard and wife, Sandra, Jacksonville, FL; three sisters, Susan Cloud and husband, Charles, Middleburg, FL.; Connie Hill, Jacksonville, FL.; and Judy Nell, Lewisburg, KY; and three grandchildren, Jakob Gerard, Ryan Gerard and Lilah Gerard all of Jacksonville, FL.
A visitation for Rosanna will be held Wednesday, July 2, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 St Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, FL 32225, with the funeral service beginning at 11:00 AM. A committal service will follow.
