February 28, 1937 – February 24, 2022
Roseline Ann Bula was born on February 28th,1937 in Chicago, Illinois to Frank Bula and Stella Stachon. Her brother Frankie was born a few years later. She loved her little brother and throughout her life just the mention of his name brought a smile to her face. Around the age of ten she and her brother moved into a Catholic orphanage. Roseline was very appreciative of the care that the nuns and priests provided. She was thankful for all that they taught her about life, the Lord, and the Catholic faith.
Roseline graduated from Lourdes High School for Girls in 1955. She also obtained a certification in bookkeeping. Roseline worked in the trucking industry as a bookkeeper until 1969 when a truck driver from Florida walked into her office. He asked her if he could buy her a cup of coffee. She would not accept his offer until he agreed to buy all the ladies in the office a cup as well. The truck driver’s southern charm won Roseline over and she moved to Florida that year. She and Gene later married and started a life together. They raised their six children: Eddie, Michael, Carol Jean, Marie, Angela, and Joanne. She was active in all the kids school events and sports. She not only made her girl’s cheerleading uniforms but was also a cheerleader for all her kids in their sporting events. Most importantly, she taught her kids the importance of God, Faith, and family.
She loved the Lord and was a devoted Catholic. She was a prayer warrior who prayed the Holy Rosary and Divine Mercy Chaplet daily for her family, friends, & even strangers. Since her husband was a truck driver who spent a significant amount of time on the road, she prayed daily for the safety of all truck drivers and all those who were traveling. She continued to pray for the safety of anyone traveling even after the death of her husband, Eugene Rouse in 1998. She was a proud Catholic and would spread the word about her faith to anyone. She always had a list of prayer intentions for anyone in their time of need. All you had to do was ask or just mention you were struggling with something, and she would add your name to her prayer list. When you were near her you could feel the presence of the Holy Spirit. She truly was one of God’s guardian angels on earth. Roseline made it clear that if you turn to Him the Lord will help you through whatever you are experiencing.
Roseline was pre-deceased by Eugene Rouse in 1998. She is survived by her loving brother Frank Bula of Chicago Illinois; her two sons Eddie Faber (Laurie) & Michael Rouse (Geselle); her four daughters Carol Jean Petry (Timothy), Marie Hersl (Matt), Angela Hyer (Ryan), & Joanne Rich (Joseph) and her six grandchildren Dawn Barret, Jake Rouse, Matthew Faber, William Rouse (Jessica), Rosemary Petry and Zachary Petry.
