I remember going down to Aunt Ruby’s and uncle Bills as a small child with mom and dad. I remember the breakfast and fresh squeezed orange juice she use to have.

My Dad, Silas, always spoke fondly of his sister Ruby Nell and mentioned from time to time that he would like to have more time to visit with her. Ruby Nell was a young teenager when my Dad returned from the war, married my Mom, Doris, and began a family in Chauncey where Ruby and Earnestine babysat us on occasion. I am grateful that my wife Susan and I were able to visit with Ruby Nell in her home a few years back. Susan often remarks how gracious she was and how much she enjoyed talking with her.
Like my Dad, I wish I had found more time to visit with her. She will be missed.
