My Dad, Silas, always spoke fondly of his sister Ruby Nell and mentioned from time to time that he would like to have more time to visit with her. Ruby Nell was a young teenager when my Dad returned from the war, married my Mom, Doris, and began a family in Chauncey where Ruby and Earnestine babysat us on occasion. I am grateful that my wife Susan and I were able to visit with Ruby Nell in her home a few years back. Susan often remarks how gracious she was and how much she enjoyed talking with her.
Like my Dad, I wish I had found more time to visit with her. She will be missed.
