Ruby Gramling Scott, 81, passed away Monday, September 2, 2013. She was born July 18, 1932 in Douglas, Georgia. Ruby was a beloved mother, devoted wife, and Nanny. Ruby loved dancing, singing, and playing guitar to country music. She is preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Danny E. Scott, her parents Buck and Bessie Mercer, and her siblings. Ruby is survived by her three sons Donnie (Nadine), Larry (Linda), Mitchell (Cindy) and daughter Monica ; sister, Annie Wright, fourteen grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends. The family will receive friends and family 6:00 – 8:00 pm, Thursday, September 5, 2013 at Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205, www.townandcountryfuneralhome.com. Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm Friday, September 6, 2013 at the funeral home. Interment will follow services in Riverside Memorial Park.
