Born January 26th, 1938 in Cordele, GA, she was the daughter of the late Ruby Inez and Thomas Lee Powell. She was a devoted homemaker and lifelong resident of Jacksonville, Fl.
She is preceded in death by her youngest daughter, Vickie Razon; sister, Sandra Jo Boston; and brothers, Luther and Jackie Powell.
Ruby is survived by her husband, Eniser Web Slay; 2 sons, William and Jimmy Slay; 3 daughters, Barbara Neeld, Cathy Archer, and Joanna Warren; 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and numerous extended family members.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m, Thursday, April 10th, 2014 in Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 St. Johns Bluff Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32225. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 11th, 2014 in the funeral home.
