Russ leaves behind his wife of 58 years, Lydia; 3 sons Rusty, Randy and Ryan, two daughters-in-law, Susan and Mistie; five grandchildren, Jesse, Anna, Sebastian, Rouchelle, and Sierra.
Russ (as everyone called him), was born in Columbus, Ohio, son of Delcia and William H. Williams. He joined the Air Force at 17 and served in the Vietnam War. Upon return, he married his wife of 58 years, Lydia. During his lifetime, he traveled throughout the country building restaurants and eventually settled in Florida, where he opened his own highly successful General Contracting company. Despite his demanding career, he still found time for fishing, boating, traveling and, most importantly, immense and unwavering support for his family and friends. He was also a huge supporter of Veteran facilities such as the VFW and the Fleet Reserve of Jacksonville Beach and was proud to be a veteran of the US Air Force.
His memory will live forever in the hearts of those who surrounded him, and his contributions to his family are immeasurable. He will be missed beyond words.
A graveside service for Russell will be held Sunday, June 29, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Hardage - Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home and Cemetery, 850 St Johns Bluff Rd N, Jacksonville, FL 32225.
