Sandra Darlene Leon, 56, passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2014 in Jacksonville, FL. She was born September 18, 1957 to Jack and Jewell Paulk in Dothan, AL. Sandra was a nurse for over 38 years and more recently worked with the Duval County School Board. She was also a member of First Baptist Church Jacksonville. She loved butterflies and she is a breast cancer survivor. Sandra is preceded in death by her father Jack Paulk and one brother Charles Paulk. She is survived by her husband of 26 years, John, one son Jack Leon, one daughter Stephanie Leon, her mother Jewell Paulk, one sister Nelda Monroe, three nieces Angie Sweat (Patrick), Jessica Paulk and Maggie Leon. Arrangements under the care of Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205. A visitation will be held at the Hardage-Giddens Edgewood Chapel, 729 S. Edgewood Ave., Jacksonville, FL 32205 on Friday, June 13, 2014 from 6:00-8:00pm. A second visitation will be held in the Hobson Auditorium at First Baptist Church, 124 W. Ashley St., Jacksonville, FL 32202 on Saturday at 1:00pm with funeral services to begin at 2:00pm. Interment to follow at Riverside Memorial Park.
