Sandy who was 4 yrs older than me was the youngest of my 4 older sisters. As a child she was someone I antagonized, teased, fought and played with. As we grew up together we formed a life long bond, she became a friend and confidant. She gave me encouragement and advice wheather I wanted it or not. Together we mourned the loss of our grandmother she consoled me and gave me the strength to handle at that time what was the biggest tragedy of my life. She was the first of my siblings to accept and befriend the woman who would become my wife for the last 45 yrs. She then unselfishly married and endured the life of a military wife while her husband proudly served in the US Navy for over 20 years. Shortly thereafter she became a loving mother and yrs later a loving mother-in-law and grandmother. She was also a caring educator. Later we together mourned the loss of our parents. She again displayed her strength with dignity and grace in the way she handled the heartbreaking loss of her son Mark. She was also an animal lover who today still has 2 rescue dogs living in her home. So who was Sandy she was a friend, advisor a confidant, loving wife, mother grandmother and aunt, caring educator and the world was a better place for her having been in it.But most importantly she was my sister who I will love and miss for the rest of my live. Rest in peace dear sister and may God bless you and keep you in his loving embrace.

I never met her but I love her

Somehow Mrs. Piotrowski made learning fun. I can clearly remember racing my fellow students in finishing the daily assignment of math, Phoenix, and writing. We would finish our assignment and race to Mrs. P’s desk. I enjoyed the second grade so much, mostly due to Mrs. “P-I-O-trowski’s” love and passion for her job. Even through middle school I would visit her classroom often; sometimes I’d ask to go to the bathroom just so I can stop by her classroom and say hello. It’s been a long time since then but my memories of her love and support are still very fresh. She was a blessing to each of her students.

She was a loving sister and we spent a lot of good times reminiscing when we visited her.
