Sarah Inez Barnard Bush, “Mo”, was a caregiver and a defender by nature. She cared for her own children, one who was blind, and others when in need. She cared for aging parents and her husband. She took in a child as her own when her parents were temporarily unable to care for her. She cared for displaced children for months at a time. She took in an expectant single mother of a biracial baby in an era when others pointed fingers and judged. One of her best friends was a gay man. Mo demonstrated love for all. She loved her grandchildren, their spouses, and her great grandchildren unconditionally and wholeheartedly and was a hands-on grandmother. She offered a tender touch when needed and a fiery temper when anyone was treated unfairly. Though she now is present with those who went before her, she will be missed sorely here on earth... We love you, Mo.
Sarah Inez is now reunited with her husband, Kenneth, and her son, Ronnie. She leaves behind a son, Danny (Terri), two grandchildren, Jeremiah (Lucy) and Jenna (Ty), and five great grandchildren, Koa, Taj, Skylar, Jack, and Layton. She was sister “Sooky Jane” to four brothers. Three went ahead of her; Joe, Jack, and Edgar. She is survived by her brother, Norman, who is 102 years.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205 with interment to follow.
