Sarah Lowe Howell, age 98, passed on Monday, August 25, 2014. Sarah was born on August 20 1916 in Jacksonville, Florida to Ira and Sarah (Abdullah) Lowe. She was a previous member of Riverview and Lakeshore Baptist Churches. She was preceded in death by her husband Wilbur L. Howell and grandson Jesse R. Howell. Sarah also was the president of PTA of Riverview Grammar and served on the County council for the PTA. Survivors are her daughters Linda Hosey (Charles) and Sarah Howell; sons Mike Howell (Debbie) and Patrick W Howell Sr.; grandchildren Kevin Howell (Michelle), Melina Mortensen, Sarah Elizabeth Hosey, Lara Ann Hosey, Debbie Tilley, Amy Kain, Beth Glidewell-Fink, and Patrick W Howell Jr.; brother-in-law Alan Lee Mitchell. Family will receive family and friends 10:00 – 11:00 am, August 28, 2014 at Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd , Jacksonville, FL 32205, www.townandcountryfuneralhome.com . Funeral services will follow Thursday, 11:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will be in Riverside Memorial Park.
