Sarah Olive Ledbetter

Born August 1935, in Eclectic Alabama, to Jessie Sandford and James Young Williams, and was raised in Flea Hop, Alabama. She passed peacefully at home in Jacksonville, Florida on September 23, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Olive graduated from high school and completed a few classes at Florida Community College. She began her career at AT&T in December 1968 as an Operator and retired in December 1989 as a Manager. After she retired, she embraced her adventurous spirit and began extensive traveling all over the world. She was a dedicated member of Rise Church in Jacksonville (formerly Macedonia Baptist Church), where she was an active member for over 30 years.

Olive is survived by her four children: Donald Ledbetter (Elaine), Tony Ledbetter (Jane), Sue Lamb (Doug), and Lisa Lesley. She leaves behind 14 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Olive’s honor to her beloved, Rise Church.

Visitation will be held at Rise Church, 8081 Lenox Ave, Jacksonville, FL 32221, US, on October 14, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, followed by the Funeral Service at the same location from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
