Shirley R. Edwards, 78, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 in Starke, FL. She was born December 2, 1936 to Marion and Avie (Purvis) Rowell in Lax, GA. Shirley was raised of the Baptist Faith. Shirley leaves to cherish her memories, her loving husband of 60 years Melvin Edwards; son Melvin “ Ish” Edwards; daughter Deborah Edwards; sister Linda Gress; grandchildren Samantha Edwards, Lauren Edwards, Cynthia Edwards, Jonathan Nettles, Andrew Nettles, Garrett Mills; niece Sandy Gress; and nephew Mike Gress.
