

With heartfelt gratitude and love, we remember Shirley Ray Tilley, who departed this life on October 28, 2025, at the age of 70. A longtime resident of Jacksonville, Florida, Shirley was a devoted wife, loving caregiver, dedicated family member, loyal friend, and respected educator whose legacy will continue to inspire all who knew her.
Born on March 30, 1955, in Cairo, GA, Shirley lived a life marked by compassion, integrity, and dedication. Her warmth, grace, and determined spirit brought joy to many.
Shirley is survived by her beloved husband of 53 years, Tony D. Tilley; a close-knit family including Chris Tilley, Stacey and Jeff Warner; a large extended family of in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins who loved her dearly; and many others who were blessed to share in her life. As “Nana” to her cherished grandchildren, Trent and Connor Warner, she leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and wisdom.
Shirley’s natural gift for education touched thousands of students and hundreds of faculty members. Her heart reached every family she knew along the way, and her influence will be felt for generations.
Though no formal services are scheduled at this time, Shirley’s life will be honored through the memories and stories shared by those who loved her. Friends and family are invited to share tributes and condolences on her memorial page.
