Shon was born on August 29, 1967 in Inverness, Florida. Shon was educated through the Citrus county school system, and graduated in 1986 and immediately went into the United States Navy. Shon proudly served his country 22 years. Once he retired from the Navy, he was employed by Mayo Clinic.
Shon was predeceased by his father John Lee Hollis. He is survived by his wife Chrissy Hollis; his children Tiana DeVaughn (daughter), Shauna Hollis (daughter), and Shon Hollis II (son); grandson, Dorian Wilson his mother Shirley Pittman; his mother-in-law Minnie Bajomo ; siblings John Hollis, Debra Hollis, James Hollis), Al Hopkins and wife Debra, Artha Hopkins and wife Roxie, and Ephegus Hopkins wife Camille, Carlos Hollis and wife Jennifer, Sabrina Hollis , and Yolanda Hollis ; and his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins and friends.
Homegoing services will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. at Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL 32205. Bishop Leonard Smith will serve as officiant of services. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Burial with full military honors will follow the service at the Jacksonville National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.
HARDAGE-GIDDENS RIVERSIDE MEMORIAL PARK AND FUNERAL HOME, 7242 Normandy Boulevard, is serving the family.
