It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Shyla Korryn Pousland, age 20, who left us on October 17, 2024. Born on November 15, 2003, Shyla was a light in this world and brought joy to all who knew her.
Shyla was a beloved daughter, sister, niece, cousin, and friend. She had a deep passion for life, which was shown through her love for Jacksonville Jaguars football, her adventures in fishing and hunting, and the cherished moments spent with her family and friends. Her adventurous spirit, hilarious demeanor, and caring nature will be remembered fondly by all that love her.
Shyla is survived by her loving family and countless friends who will carry her memory in their hearts. A visitation for Shyla will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 St Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, FL 32225.
A Celebration of her Life will be held in her honor on Sunday, October 27, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 St Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, FL 32225. A Committal Ceremony will immediately follow the funeral proceedings at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Memory Gardens, 850 St Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, FL 32225.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a local mental health charity, Here Tomorrow, in her honor. She will be deeply missed.
