Stanley Carroll Joseph Robinson, 94, passed away Monday, September 30, 2013 in Watford City, ND. Stanley was born September 20, 1919 to Luther and Bernice K. (Mason) Robinson in North Dakota. Stanley retired after 21 years of service from the United States Navy as a Chief Petty Officer and went to work for the Post Office which he also retired from. He was stationed on the USS Raleigh and was aboard the ship in 1941 when it took two torpedoes during the bombing of Pearl Harbor by the Japanese. He was preceded in death by his wife Joyce B. Coker of 43 years, July 7, 1994 and one daughter Dorothy Jean Robinson Schmidt in 2003. Stanley is survived by one grandson John Schmidt and two nephews Carroll Gustafson and John Gustafson. Graveside services will be 11:00 am Friday, October 11, 2013 at Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
