Ted was born July 28, 1942, in Camden, New Jersey. As a foster child, he was raised and loved to be an amazing man by the late Joseph and Lillian Reagan from the time he was 8 years old. He was married to Geri, and had just celebrated their 62nd anniversary this past Sept. 29th.
Ted completed his GED education while in the Navy to teach his children the importance of education. He enjoyed camping and travel. His biggest pride and joy throughout his life was the love he felt for his children, grandchildren, and great-granddaughter.
Ted spent 22 years in the US Navy. During that time he received many awards and commendations including the National Defense Service Medal, the Good Conduct Medal Fifth Award, Two Meritorious Unit Commendations, the Navy Achievement Medal, the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon with 2 Bronze Stars and the Navy “E” Ribbon.
After retiring from the Navy he spent some time in security. Later he became Transportation Director for the Bolles School in Jacksonville. His favorite job was maintenance at the Flamingo Lake RV Resort in Jacksonville. Ted took such pleasure in keeping the park as beautiful as he could, as it also became our home. The people he worked with became his friends and the more than 20 years he spent there was one of the happiest times of his life.
He is survived by his wife Geri, son Theodore Foster, daughter Pamela Whitfield, granddaughter Brittany McKeown, grandson Kenneth Whitfield, great-granddaughter Everleigh Mae, granddaughter of his heart Heather Whitfield and a brother Julio Bermudez.
