Thomas was born on November 23rd, 1957, to his parents, Edward T. Purcell and Helen V. Purcell in Jersey City, NJ, and was often known by his wry sense of humor and generous heart. His graduations from Saint Peter's College, and Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara were momentous occasions for his family. Thomas dedicated his career to helping children, and went on to become a prominent pediatrician in the Jersey Shore, Southwest Florida, and North Florida communities.
Thomas was a dedicated and loving father, husband, uncle, and brother. He is survived by his two children, Martin and Veronica; ex-wife Adriana; as well as his two sisters, Mary LeMore and Loretta Fulton. He had a full life, with a family who loved him, and he will be greatly missed.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 10, 2021 at 5:00pm at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home. The family will receive friends beginning at 4pm.
