Virginia Williams Kennison

Virginia was born in Cordele, GA on September 4, 1934 to Robert and Bernice Williams. The Williams family moved to Jacksonville, FL in the early 1940’s. Virginia graduated in 1952 from Robert E. Lee High School. She worked for AT&T for 30 years before retiring. She enjoyed camping and traveling with her husband, Clayton. She loved spending time with her family and eating lunch out with friends. She volunteered with Meals on Wheels and at her church. She was a member of Westside Advent Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Bernice Williams, her first husband Donald Sikes of 13 years; and her 2nd husband Clayton Kennison of 30 years; three brothers Robert Williams, Jr., James Williams and Milton Williams.

She is survived by two daughters Donna (Ken) Sikes Fraser and Dena Sikes Meade (Grayson); four grandchildren Caitlin Meade, Braden Meade, Haley Fraser and Abbey Fraser; one sister Carolyn Suits; one brother Frank Williams and numerous nieces and nephews. We would like to thank her caregivers who helped her in her later years.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205. The family will receive friends prior to the funeral service starting at 2:30 p.m. Interment is following the funeral service at Riverside Memorial Park.
