Eddie was a life-long resident of Jacksonville and a 1973 graduate of Englewood High School. He worked in the family businesses as a carpenter and landscaper. He and his mother also owned and operated a local sandwich shop. He was always so happy when family came to dine.
He is survived by a sister, Sherrie Rabe (Harry) of Jacksonville, FL and three brothers, Lance Clayton (Patricia) of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, Paul Clayton Jr. and Charles Clayton both of Jacksonville, FL He also leaves several nieces and nephews as well as extended family members in numerous states.
A kind and gentle soul, Eddie never met a stranger and was always happy as evidenced by his smile and laugh.
He loved gardening, his cats, the Jaguars, and he loved seafood, especially shrimp.
A graveside service will be held at Chapel Hills Memory Gardens at a later date.
