Friends and neighbors could find him relaxing in his man cave most days and playing with his little shadow pup Izzy. He loved making trips to the mountains of Gatlinburg, Tennessee, the Florida Keys or the Hard Rock Hotel in Tampa, Florida. He also enjoyed taking Caribbean cruises with his wife Patty.

He is survived by his wife Patricia Bond Hinkle; his mother-in-law Frances Bond of Lexington, South Carolina; and his brother and sister in-laws Charles and Stephanie Bond of Lexington, South Carolina; as well as nieces and nephews of Indianapolis, Indiana and fond cousins in Saint Augustine, Florida.
